With over 200 active members, Interact Club--a volunteer community service organization--is involved in numerous projects. Each month, members participate in at least five different activities, from building a garden for a daycare center; serving meals to the homeless at Andre House, packing and sorting food at St. Mary's Food Bank; tutoring elementary school children; preparing school kits to Iraqi school children; scraping, prepping and painting the home of a senior citizen; organizing donated clothing at a clothing bank; assisting disabled children at a horseriding facility; writing letters to honor veterans; and collecting toiletries for the homeless.
The best part? Students are not doing this to fulfill a graduation requirement; they are doing this because it's the right thing to do!

The first Interact club was formed at Washington High School during the 2000-2001 school year. The club quickly grew to over 200 members and was named by Rotary International as the largest and most active Interact club in the world. The WHS club is proud to be sponsored by the Rotary Club of Sun City, Arizona. We appreciate their continued support. As of June 2004, there were 9,661 Interact clubs in 117 countries and an estimated 222,203 Interactors worldwide.
