Program Mission:
To develop and sustain a winning basketball program in which all participants adhere to our creed of being a disciplined and classy basketball program that prepares all of its players to succeed athletically and scholastically at WHS and beyond.
Top Returning Players:
6'0 wing Junior Coleman - 26.5 ppg
6'0 wing Jimmy Powers - 6.0 ppg
6'3 wing Luis Aguirre - 3.0 ppg
6'1 wing Trevor Page - 6.5 ppg
Program Overview:
Going into his fourth year as head coach, Will Worosylla has the best team of his tenure. Finishing up a successful summer despite not having the core 8 guys play a single game together does not damper the optimism surrounding the program. "This has been an interesting process" says coach Will. "We had the plan that in year four we would be ready to compete at a higher level and I think we are there now. Junior Coleman is going to be better than last year and he will have help on the perimeter that we honestly did not have last year. We now have 42 guys competing for 12 spots so fall will be critical for the guys who need to separate themselves from other players. In years past the talent level was not as high so I think players felt they didn't have to work as hard. Well now we have the players who have spent 3 years in the program so they know the expectations."
