SAT Prep

The SAT, a rite of passage for most college-bound seniors, is a rigorous assessment that measures students’ reading, writing, and math skills. Results from the SAT are reported to colleges of the students’ choice, and these results are used both to determine academic scholarship eligibility and often college admission.

WHS is offering an SAT preparation course for seniors in advance of the November 8 test date (registration closes October 9). While some test-prep companies typically charge $1,100 for a class and $100 to $200 an hour for individual tutoring, WHS seniors can take the 12-hour prep course on campus for free. The course will be held in late October; students or parents should contact the WHS Counseling Office at 623-915-8402 for information on how to register.
