On Court with the Rams

News

The girls' tennis team qualified for the State Tournament in each of the last two years and is looking forward to another successful season.

Tryouts

Try-outs begin in early February. Every student must have a physical turned into the Athletic Director before she tries out for tennis. Practices will be from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. The team will be chosen within the first two weeks of practice. Approximately sixteen girls will be chosen for the team, based on the following:

Ability
Attitude
Athleticism
Academics
Coachability
Commitment

Don’t be afraid to try out even if you have never played before; many of the players from last year were new to the game, too.

2004-2005 Season

Any interested girls should plan to try out for the squad in early February.  The coach will assess the abilities of each player through drills and matches. Following tryouts, players will compete in challenge matches to secure positions on the squad. The varsity and junior varsity teams include 6 players each who will compete in both singles and doubles. Practices are scheduled daily from 3-5 p.m. at the Ram tennis courts.

2003-2004 Season
