WHS ECE Interns Lead, Teach & Inspire at Shamrock Farms 💜

What an incredible showcase of leadership, professionalism, and hands-on learning by our WHS ECE Interns!
This semester, our Early Childhood Education students took on the huge responsibility of planning and implementing a real field trip experience for preschoolers from start to finish, and they absolutely delivered.
These interns didn’t just “go on” a field trip… they CREATED one. From completing 2 hours of official field trip safety training, to developing and delivering persuasive presentations that convinced both their classmates and preschoolers to choose the destination, every detail required teamwork, communication, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
To make the experience even more meaningful, students spent 3 weeks designing and teaching engaging farm-themed lessons to prepare the preschoolers for their visit. Watching them connect classroom learning to a real-world experience was truly impressive.
The project culminated in an amazing trip to Shamrock Farms where our interns demonstrated patience, responsibility, leadership, and genuine care for the children throughout the entire experience.
We are so proud of the hard work, dedication, and professionalism these students showed every step of the way. The field trip was a huge success and such a powerful example of career and technical education in action! 💜💜 The 25-26 ECE students were an outstanding bunch and will be missed next year.
