Canned Food Contest Continues

The race has begun to collect the most canned goods in the STUGO sponsored annual Canned Food Drive.

Third period classes will continue collecting through Friday, November 21 with hopes of bettering last year’s total of over 26,000 cans.

STUGO sponsor Jeff Parsons said that the three third period classes who collect the most will receive rewards, probably in the form of food prizes.

As a reminder, he said that students should donate non-perishable food items. Items needed most are peanut butter, tuna, chunky soup and stews, canned veggies/fruit, rice, pasta and fruit juice (plastic only). Ramen noodles are also acceptable with a limit of 300 with 5 Ramen = 1 can. Students may also donate money with $1 = 6 cans.

STUGO will donate items to St. Mary’s Food Bank.
