FBLA Competition

FBLA Regional Conference

On January 28, Washington FBLA members traveled to Grand Canyon University to compete at the FBLA Regional Conference.  The 30 Rams brought home an amazing 21 awards.  President Sadaf Aayar placed first in Public Speaking II, second in Public Service Announcement, and first place in the team event Banking and Financial Systems, along with Ciara Tan and Tiffany Tran.  Tiffany also placed first in Computer Applications.  Oscar Arroyo took 1st in Personal Finance, Jennifer Conchas placed second in Word Processing, Miranda Hadley placed second in FBLA Principles and Procedures, with Teresa Nguyen taking the top award in that event.  Gorica Jovic placed 3rd in Computer Applications, Rachael Paxton took third in Word Processing, and Johnny Ruvalcaba placed first in Word Processing.  Samia Simon took second in both Client Service and Computer Applications, while Jessica Soto placed second in Entrepreneurship along with her brother, Michael, who also placed third in FBLA Principles and Procedures and took the top honor for Public Speaking I.  In addition, the Chapter won second place in the online testing tournament.  Congratulations Future Business Leaders!  Next up in April is the State Conference in Tucson.
