1st FAFSA Night at WHS 2019

FAFSA Night at WHS
Posted on 2019/10/04
FAFSA Night at WHS Washington High School held our annual FAFSA Night on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.  It was a tremendous night, with 140 families attending with their senior students in order to complete the FAFSA!  FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid that helps determine eligibility for financial student aid for college.  On hand to help out our families at the event were Washington's counselors and the College and Career Center Specialist, representatives from ASU, GCU, GCC, and Phoenix College, and 17 NHS volunteers.  This was a great way to kick off the opening of FAFSA and help our students and families as they prepare for the next important steps in their lives.  If you are a parent of a senior and could not make it to this event, we will also hold FAFSA sessions on December 11 before and after school, and also one more FAFSA Night February 3.  If you contact the counseling department at Washington, we would also be happy to schedule another time for you to come in to receive assistance in completing FAFSA.
