Financial Aid (FAFSA) Support

Financial Aid (FAFSA) Support
Posted on 2021/10/06
Families worked together with WHS Staff and College Experts to fill out the FAFSA We recently had our kick-off FAFSA event at Washington on October 5.  We had 120 families come to the event to complete FAFSA with the help of our College and Career Specialist (Debbie Lohr), counselors, and representatives from ASU and GCU.  FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and is a way to determine eligibility for student financial aid, much of which is free money for college or other post-secondary opportunities. We expect every senior to complete FAFSA as it can present incredible opportunities for our students.  We will hold another FAFSA event December 2, but seniors and their families can continue to get support in completing FAFSA before that by speaking with their counselor or reaching out to Debbie Lohr at 623-915-8465 or Debbie.Lohr@guhsdaz.org.  We are always ready to schedule one-on-one sessions with families either in-person, over the phone, or via a web meeting.  Please don't hesitate to reach out - we're here to help!
